How do you maintain my anonymity?
We look after your data as if it was our own. This means that we don't just hand data out at the drop of a hat. We are not a registrar and as such are not bound by registrar rules and regulations. On top of that we are located in Australia - a location that ranks among the top in the world for freedom and economic rights. The Australian legal system is based on a fundamental belief in the rule of law, justice and the independence of the judiciary. All people Australians and non-Australians alike are treated equally before the law and safeguards exist to ensure that people are not treated arbitrarily or unfairly by governments or officials.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my account?
Yes you can. The difference is that when you upgrade your account we credit you for what has already been paid. However on a downgrade you will lose your credit - so we recommend that you downgrade once your year is up.

How do I get more help / assistance or report a problem?
Please contact us with any problems.

I am a law enforcement agent.
Please contact us. We will assist where we can, but as we are not a registrar we don't hold any specific details of our clients other than a forwarding email address. On top of this we will generally need to have an Australian court order before we hand over customer data.

Something isn't working...
If you're having trouble in any way, stay logged into your account and contact us. Using this form while logged in will put you into a priority queue.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept credit cards and bitcoins. We use paypal to accept credit card payments so if you already have a paypal account you may also be able to use other forms of payment.

How do I transfer my domain from one registrar to another when using your service?
The same way you normally would. Since you have full access to your domain keys and get emails forwarded to you from our service, you can transfer from whoever you are using to someone else.

I am losing emails... HELP!
We strongly suggest that you add our sending email address noreply@registerprivatedomain.com to your email safe list. You will need to read up instructions from your email provider on how to do this. If you are still not getting some messages, consider disabling the spam filter offered in our system. If you are still having problems contact us.

How does the 30 day money back guarantee work?
Simple - if at any time within 30 days of creating your account you are not happy with the service just contact us for a full refund. Funds will be sent back via the same means they were paid. Bitcoin funds will be sent minus the transfer fee.

Can I use your service for illegal activities?
While we support freedom of speech and encourage you express your point of view, we do not support the use of our service for illegal activities. We will not tolerate any domains that try to hide spam or violate the law. Any accounts found to be doing this will be suspended.

So do I have to transfer my domain to you to get this service?
No, we are NOT the domain owners - you are! You retain full control of your domain and are free to do as you wish with it. That includes transfer to another domain registrar or sale. You are free to change and update details as you like. Think of us as a go-between between you and the outside world.

Who are you?
We are Privacy Media - our company was established in response to the growing concerns for privacy. We manage several assets and look forward to providing more online services in future.

Oops! I accidently deleted an email that was forwarded to me. Can you send me a new copy?
Unfortunately no. As part of our commitment to privacy, emails are deleted as soon as they are forwarded. We do not keep any records.

How do I update my current WHOIS details?
This will depend on your current registrar. The easiest way to find how your registrar does this is to do an internet search for "*registrar name* update WHOIS record". If you are having any problems just get in touch with us and we'll be able to assist.

I've signed up but my domain isn't private - not working.
This question is answered above - "How do I update my current WHOIS details?" you need to update your WHOIS details with your current domain registrar using the details that we have provided you for the service to work. If you have updated them it may take up to 4 days for your registrar to update them for the WHOIS search. We do not automatically update your details within your registrar account.
